Sattva Veda

Let’s talk about how I am feeling  studying Ayurveda for the first time…omgoshhhh I am falling in love with Ayurveda!!!!This language is a living vibration to me. The more I study the more I am falling deep into it. I feel so comfortable studying Ayurveda. This class makes me feel so grounded. I don’t know reason behind it.   The key insight, which Ayurveda emphasizes me, is that  such growth is intended by nature to be automatic. It’s programmed into our cells. Experiencing it is only a question of following the silent river of intelligence to its source. Truly, this is the final secret of creating perfect health.

The desire of Sattva Veda is to harmonize and compose the body by means of a physical, mental and spiritual union, while bringing forth a remembrance of its true nature as Spirit. Sattva, coming from the Sanskrit language, is derived from the verb root (Sat) and is defined as: your Highest most Pure Existence. Sattva is also a quality, and one of the three Gunas (tendencies), recognized for its tranquility, purity, virtue, illumination, balance and wisdom. Veda, in Sanskrit is derived from the verb root (Vid) which is translated as: to know or to have Knowledge. The innate philosophy of Sattva Veda is to allow for a remembrance of your True Nature as Spirit through practices and modalities, when embodied will enhance the Knowledge of your Highest most Pure Existence.

Ether and Air combine to form what is known in Ayurveda as the Vata dosha. Vata governs the principle of movement and therefore can be seen as the force, which directs nerve impulses, circulation, respiration, and elimination. If we have mostly a Vata dosha, we tend to be thin, light and quick in our thoughts and actions. Change is a constant part of our lives. When Vata is balanced, we are creative, enthusiastic and lively. But if Vata becomes excessive, we may develop anxiety, insomnia or irregular digestion.

Fire and water are the elements that combine to form the Pitta dosha. The Pitta dosha is the process of transformation or metabolism. The transformation of foods into nutrients that our bodies can assimilate is an example of a Pitta function. Pitta is also responsible for metabolism in the organ and tissue systems as well as cellular metabolism. If Pitta dosha is most lively in our nature, we tend to be muscular, smart and determined. If balanced, we are warm, intelligent and a good leader. If out of balance, Pitta can make us critical, irritable and aggressive.

Finally, it is predominantly the water and earth elements, which combine to form the Kapha dosha. Kapha is what is responsible for growth, adding structure unit by unit. Another function of the Kapha dosha is to offer protection. Cerebral-spinal fluid protects the brain and spinal column and is a type of Kapha found in the body. If we have mostly a Kapha dosha in our nature, we tend to have a heavier frame, think and move more leisurely and are stable. When balanced, it creates calmness, sweetness and loyalty. When excessive, Kapha can cause weight gain, congestion and resistance to healthy change.

Let’s talk about what constitution I belong . When I was teenager 8 years back I was  predominnat to kapha  dosha but now I am excess Vata and Pitta which most of the western people are now. Under what dosha I fall into?I  was told by one of my friend that I am  predominant to kapha qualities as sometime we judge ourself  incorrect.I am short by hereditary( thanks to mum) which is Vata quality, irregular face (Vata), dry hair( Vata), irregular in my daily routine(Vata).I am  moderate build(Pitta), moderate muscles(Pitta), moderate chest(pitta),moderate stomach(pitta) but heavy in the lower parts of the body(Kapha). My eyes are black, thick lashes, pale nails, soft, slightly oily and slightly thick skin( which easily tans and  evenly) that is Kapha. I love to conserve energy(the opposite to Vata folk who love to spend it!) My body are always warm, heated, sweat easily (Pitta). My behaviours are Vata tends to change easily.I understand things but have a hopeless memory and also have a tendency of too too anxiety and insecurity that is again Vata. I am soo ssosoo sossoo timid and fear for almost of everything and less confident about myself so that’s again Vata. I am creative,Vata . Overall I am strong predominance of  the elements of the Air and Ether.I belong to Vata and Pitta and less qualities of Kapha. To look into constitution one have to consider there orginal things that do not change easily -personality, intellect, energy level, teeth, eyes, bone structure, ears like complexion, colour of lips, digestion …

Let’s talk about my imbalances of all excess vata and pitta on me.My prakriti is where is balance and vikriti is imbalances.

My skin is rough, dry, stools dry sometime, cracking joints tehehehh(@ dis age) that’s again vata..

Actually I want to write more about Ayurveda but I am feeling sleepy so I’ll finish it here.

to be continued……
